In weakness, we find strength

Sometimes your biggest weakness can become your strength. Take, for example, the story of a 10 year old boy who decided to take up self- defense classes despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in car accident. That boy started this martial art classes and within 3 months he could not understand why his master taught him only one move. The boy asked the master shouldn't I be learning more moves? This is the only move you know, but this only move you'll need to know replied his master the boy kept training . Several months later the master took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult but after sometime, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by this success the boy was in the finals. This time his opponent was bigger, stronger and more experienced. For a while the boy seemed to be lost. Concerned about the boy the referee called time-out. He was about to stop the match when the master intervened.

No, the master insisted," Let him continue."

Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly the boy used his move to pin him.. The boy had won the match and the tournament. On the way back home, the boy and his master discussed every move made by the boy in every match. Then the boy asked what was really on his mind.

"Master, how did I win the tournament with only one move?" "You won for two reasons the master answered. "First you've almost mastered the most difficult throws in all of the self- defense. Second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grab your left arm."

The boy's biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.

A touching story from Turkey

I was in turkey when the following incident happened :

Some christian doctors were running a medical clinic attending to survivors of the earthquake in Turkey. When the opportunity came for another clinic to be opened, the doctors decided to go ahead with another clinic in a different location. That morning, before the clinic opened, the one remaining doctor saw a long queue of people had already formed outside the medical tent waiting for him to start his clinic. He saw that he could not attend to all people so he had asked the interpreter, a turkish girl to tell the queue of people that he could not see all of them and requested them that those with minor ailments should go to the government hospitals and clinics so that he could attend to only those with serious problems.

The interpreter kept very quiet and did not know what to say. The doctor then asked her why she would not interpret for him. The interpreter replied, " I cannot tell these people what you just said, I cannot send them away. I have watched you all these past few days, how you work and care for my people. These people need a touch of God's love that only Christians can give them.

Neighbourhood Watch

Neighbourhood watch scheme, this scheme is an easy scheme to start if all the residents in the area are ready to cooperate with each other. Neighbourhood watch is a crime prevention program that emphasizes on education and common sense. It teaches residents how to protect themselves by identifying and reporting about suspicious people and activity that might take place in their neighbourhood. It gives the residents an opportunity to make their neighbourhood a safer place to live and improve the quality of life of everyone in the area. Neighbourhood watch groups focus on observation and awareness as a means of preventing crime and makes use of different methods to educate and prepare the residents for the important job of taking care of the safety of their area or neighbourhood.

Neighbourhood crime prevention groups are organised around the block, colony or a neighbourhood and these crime prevention groups can be started with the support of law enforcement agencies in that area. In most neighbourhoods in my area they usually employ a security guard from a security company but I am not sure how effective and successful this scheme is, because it is the same guard on duty every single night and at some stage he could be our enemy instead of our friend. If the security was done by the residents on a rotation basis I am sure the scheme would be more successful.

All neighbourhood watches have one thing in mind and that is to bring the community together to make their quality of life in the neighbourhood better and reduce crime rate in their area so they can feel secure. Everyone knows that neighbourhood watch schemes that are carried out now days are very effective in controlling crime in an area.

Residents of that area should request the police to organise workshops that will educate the residents on how to protect themselves and how to prevent crimes from happening , they can also be asked to start self-defense classes for the residents. The success of this scheme totally depends on the residents and their involvement.

Hotel/Motel Scam (This one is so simple it is shocking)

This is kinda scary if only because of how simple it is.

I'll bet this works all too often.

You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. When
checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for all the
charges for your room). You get to your room and settle in.

Someone calls the front desk and asked for (example) Room 620
(which happens to be your room).. Your phone rings in your room.
You answer and the person on the other end says the following,
'This is the front desk. When checking in, we came cross a problem
with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit
card number and verify the last 3 digits numbers at the reverse side
of your charge card.'

Not thinking anything you might give this person your information,
since the call seems to come from the front desk. But actually, it
is a scam of someone calling from outside the hotel/front desk.
They ask for a random room number. Then, ask you for credit card
information and address information. Sounding so professional that
you do think you are talking to the front desk.

If you ever encounter this problem on your vacation, tell the caller
that you will be down at the front desk to clear up any problems...
Then, go to the front desk and ask if there was a problem. If there
was none, inform the manager of the hotel that someone called to scam
you of your credit card information acting like a front desk
employee.

This was sent by someone who has been duped........and is still
clearing up the mess....

P.S. Please everyone, help spread the word by forwarding this email
to everyone you know.. Who knows, you might just help someone avoid
a nasty experience.

ANYONE travelling should be aware of this one!

Be Careful !! Must Read!: Torchlights (Stungun)

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, latest weapon used by robbers.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. NO MATTER HOW BUSY YOU ARE, YOU MUST GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 3 MINUTES TO READ THIS!

I just thought to let know what my doctor told me recently. I don't think she was lying and neither am I, so please pass this on to your friends. Her clinic is in SS2 and you know how congested that place is.

One morning a few months ago in broad daylight, a girl was getting into her car when a few men approached her with what looked like a torchlight. Quite harmless looking. They pressed the "torchlight" into her back and immediately she went limp and very pale. So she wouldn't be able to fight back, they slashed her thigh with a parang and sped away in her car.

There were many people around and they quickly took her to the nearest clinic which was my doctor's clinic. There were two doctors at that time and they managed to stitch up her wound but the girl remained pulse-less and still pale as paper. No pulse, no BP (blood pressure). Just like dead.

My doctors were confused as to how one wound on the thigh made the girl almost like dead? They managed to revive her and save her life.

After some checking around, the doctors found out what actually happened was that the girl was made unconscious not by a torchlight but actually a high voltage weapon. I forgot how many watts she mentioned. 1000? Anyway, it was high enough to kill a person by electrocution.

It seems this weapon is from China. It's not rampant in Malaysia...yet; but with this thing, a person can rob, rape, kill, kidnap, and practically do anything to you. My doctor said that if the girl weren't taken to the clinic immediately she would have died because there was no pulse on her.

So please just beware of your surroundings, if anybody is lurking around with a torchlight-thingy and approaches you, just scream or run away. Better to be embarrassed than ZAPPED and fried, right? Take care.

Cook Maggie The Correct Way

BE AWARE.....!!!

Many of us can't do without " Maggi " especially when one is away from home, in a foreign land. Here is a piece of information
to share so that we can remove the potential health hazard of consuming Maggi.

Maybe you should print this e-mail to keep as a reminder, pin it up in the kitchen or dining room as reminder or in your purse if you are always travelling.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS... :-

Especially those who fond of Maggi...

CORRECT WAY OF 'COOKING NOODLES' :_

The correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health:

Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water,
throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 minutes and then it's ready to eat.

This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.

By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG,
it will change the molecular structure of the MSG, causing it to be toxic.

The other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are coated with wax
and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have eaten
the noodles.

CORRECT METHOD:

1. Boil the noodles in a pot of water.

2. Once the noodles are cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which
contains wax.

3. Boil another pot of water, add the cooked noodles into the hot boiling water and then
turn off the stove.

4. Only at this stage when the stove is off, and while the water is very hot, add the
flavouring powder into the water, to make noodle soup.

5. However, if you need dry noodles, remove the noodles and add the flavouring powder
and toss it to get dry noodles.

Dietician's Note:
If you buy plain hakka noodles which you make, you initially need to boil in water and
discard the water. This will soften the noodles but to prevent it from sticking we need to
add a tbsp of oil and also the noodles are deep fried partially to make them crunchy and
then dusted with flour to prevent them from sticking while boiling. Hence when you buy
the noodles they are already made unhealthy and this is the type we use to make stir fry
noodles and the regular Maggie too is made the same way, plus they add MSG / Ajinomoto
and other chemical preservatives.

A large number of patients with ages ranging from 18-24 years are ending up
with pancreatitis either as a swelling or infection
of the pancreas due to regular consumption of instant noodles...
If the frequency is more than 3 times a week, then it is very hazardous...

Please share this info and help save a life .

Intellectual Property Crime

Intellectual property crime deals with making and distribution of pirated copies of audio, video or games VCDs or DVDs. All original CDs or DVDs have a security code on the product, so as to protect it from being copied, but if this security code is hacked or broken into making pirated copies can be made easily . Criminals have found way around this security protection. The pirated copies that are thousands in number are smuggled or sold in small outlets or on websites and they bring in good profits. The distributors of the original CDS OR DVDS suffer a huge loss because of piracy.

I would also like to add that any sort of piracy should be stopped. Say no to piracy. Get original VCDs , Audio CDs , DVDs instead.

High-Tech Crime (Fraud)

Fraud :-

When hacking is used for financial gain it comes under fraud. When a person makes a purchase of goods or services on a website on the internet he has to make the payment using payment cards such as debit card, credit card or a cash card, when doing so the user has to input his card details. The details are then stolen by criminals to make clone cards or they use the card details to commit “card not present” fraud through websites or by telephone. At times the hackers sell the card details to the fraudsters for a huge amount.

Website spoofing is another type of fraud where hackers set up a website with similar web address as the original website so that when the users log on to the original website it will re-direct them to the bogus website. Some users give away their card details, account details and other financial information thinking they are on the original website and then fraudsters get access to their important details.

Another type of fraud is the 419 frauds, which is also done on the Internet where fraudsters send emails to people promising them a huge amount of money in return if they pay a small fee.

Is your home filled with love?

A women came out of her house and saw three old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said, I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry please come in and have something to eat. Is the man of the house home? they asked. "No" she said. He's out. " Then we cannot come in, they replied. In the evening when her husband came home she told him about what had happened. Go tell them I am home and invite them in. The woman went out and invited the in. We don't go into a house together, " the replied. " Why is that? " she wanted to know.

One of the old men explained: "His name is wealth, " he said pointing to one of his friends. Pointing to another friend and said his name is success and I am love. "Then he added go in and ask your husband which one of us you want to invite in your home. " The woman went in told her husband what was said.

Her husband was overjoyed . "How nice! he said. "Since that is the case lets invite wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth. " His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite success?"

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in her own suggestion. "Would it be not better to invite Love. Our home will be filled with love."

"Let us heed our daughter-in -law's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite to be our guest. "The woman went out and asked the three old men, which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking towards the house. The other two also got up and followed him. Surprised the lady asked Wealth and Success: I only invited Love, why are you coming in? "

The two old men replied together: If you had invited Wealth or Success the other two of us would have stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever he goes we go with him. Wherever there is love, there is also wealth and success!!!!!

Confidence - Trust - Hope

Once all villagers decided to pray for rain.

On the day on one of the prayers all villagers gathered
and only one boy came with an umbrella .

That's confidence

Trust should be like the feeling of a baby.

When you throw a baby in the air

he laughs because he knows that

you will catch him.

That's Trust

Every night we go to bed,

We have no assurance to get up

alive the next morning

but still you have plans for the

coming day.

Never Give Up

One day a young lady was driving along with her father.
They came upon a storm, and the young lady asked her father, What should I do?"
He said "keep driving". Cars began to pull over to the side, the storm was
Getting worse.

"What should I do." The young lady asked?

"Keep driving," her father replied.

On up a few feet, she noticed that eighteen wheelers were also pulling over.
She told her dad, "I must pull over, I can barely see ahead. It is
Terrible, and everyone is pulling over!"

Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!"

Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon she
Could see a little more clearly. After a couple of miles she was again on
Dry land, and the sun came out.

Her father said, "Now you can pull over and get out."

She said "But why now?"

He said "When you get out, look back at all the people that gave up and are
Still in the storm, because you never gave up your storm is now over.

This is a testimony for anyone who is going through "hard times".

Just because everyone else, even the strongest, gives up. You don't have
To...if you keep going, soon your storm will be over and the sun will shine
Upon your face again.

This story touched me! I hope it touched you, too !!!

EATING FRUIT...

EATING FRUIT...

It's long but very informative
*******
We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.
*******
What is the correct way of eating fruits?
*******
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
*******
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.
*******
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.
*******
In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....
*******
So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!
******
Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.
*******
There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.
*******
When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.
*******
But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!
*******
KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.
*******
APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.
******
STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.
*******
ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.
*******
WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene — the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.
*******
GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content.. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.
*******
Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can u believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion... Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
******
A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

The Monks

A man is driving down the road and breaks down near a monastery. He goes to the monastery, knocks on the door, and says, My car broke down. Do you think I could stay the night?

The monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, and even fix his car. As the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound; a sound like no other that he has ever heard. The next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, We can't tell you because you're not a monk.

The man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. Some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the samemonastery.

The monks again accept him, feed him, and even fix his car..

That night, he hears the same strange mesmerizing sound that he had heard years earlier.

The next morning, he asks what the sound was, but the monks reply,

We can't tell you because you're not a monk.

The man says, all right, all right. I'm dying to know.
If the only way I can find out what that sound was is to become a monk, how do I become a monk?

The monks reply, you must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles. When you find these numbers, you will become a monk.

The man sets about his task. Some forty-five years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery. He says, I have travelled the earth and devoted my life to the task demanded and have found what you had asked for. There are 371,145,236,284,232 blades of grass and 231,281,219,999,129,382 sand pebbles on the earth.

The monks reply, congratulations, you are correct, and you are now considered a monk .We shall now show you the way to the sound.

The monks lead the man to a wooden door, where the head monk says, the sound is behind that door.

The man reaches for the knob, but the door is locked. He asks, May I have the key ?

The monks give him the key, and he opens the door.

Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone... The man requeststhe key to the stone door.

The monks give him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. He demands another key from the monks, who provide it. Behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire. And so it went on until the man had gone through doors of emerald,......silver, topaz, and amethyst.

Finally, the monks say, This is the key to the last door ..

The man is relieved to be at the end. He unlocks the door, turns the knob, and behind that door he is astonished to find the source of that strange sound. It is truly an amazing and unbelievable sight

....
.....
.......
..........
............

.. But I can't tell you what it is because you're not a monk.

DON'T SWEAR AT ME;
I'M STILL HUNTING FOR THE IDIOT WHO STARTED THIS!

The story is told of a sultan who had a childhood friend with whom he grew up. This friend a different way of looking at every situation that ever occurred in life in his life, be it positive or negative, and remarking, "This is good!" One day the sultan and his friend were on a hunting trip. The friend would load and prepare the guns for sultan. In preparing one of the guns, the had friend had done something wrong, for after taking the gun from his friend, the sultan;s thumb was blown off when sultan fired it. Examining the situation the friend as usual remarked, "This is good!"

To which the sultan replied angrily, "No, this is Not good!" and put his friend in jail. A year later, Sultan was hunting in a dangerous area. Cannibals captured him and took him to their village. They tied his hands, stacked some wood, set up a stake and bound him to it. As they approached to set fire to the wood, they noticed that Sultan's thumb was missing. Being superstitious, they never ate anyone that was less than whole. So after untying the king, they sent him on his way. As he returned home, he was reminded of the event that had taken his thumb and felt remorse for his treatment of his friend. Immediately, he went to the jail to speak with his friend. "You were right, " the Sultan said, "it was good that my thumb was blown off." And I am so sorry for sending you to jail for so long. " It was bad for me to do this." "No," his friend replied" "This is good!" "What do you mean, 'This is good'? How could it be good that I sent my friend to jail for a year? If I had not been in Jail I would have been with you.

Sharing your true self....BE GENEROUS....

When you share of your time, you share of your soul.
When you share of your soul, you love.
When you love, you grow.
When you grow, the universe opens for you.
Are you ready to grow?
Or are you stuck?
We've all been stuck at some point in life.
In a job we despise.
In a relationship we know is not right.
In an argument that has no win.
In a life that's no longer our own.
This is your moment of awareness.
You are not enslaved - unless you so choose.
You are not bound - unless you believe yourself to be.
You are free to change and grow and love.
Start today by loving yourself.
Look into your heart and find your truth.
From your true self,
the amazing person you are,
everything is possible.
Start with believing...
In YOU.
In YOUR greatness.
For know that you are not alone.
Be generous with yourself
for there are those who need to hear from you.
Love yourself for you are loved.

Practicing your profession

A fountain pen salesman presuaded a merchant to order 500 dozen pens. He was writing in his notebook when suddenly the merchant exclaimed, "Hold on! I'm canceling that order!" The he turned to wait on a customer. The salesman left the store perlexed and angry. Later the merchant's book keeper asked, "Why? " did you cancel that fountain pen order?" Why? " responded the merchant, "Because he talked about the fountain pens to me half an hour, using a number of forcible arguments, and then booked my order with a lead pencil. His practice did not agree with his profession.

Under the wing of love

An article in National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God's wings.. After a forest fire in Yellowstone National park, Forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerier sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he struck it three tiny chicks scurried under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offsprings to the base of the tree and gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. When the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast. Because she had willing to die, those under the cover of her wings would live.

WASH THEM FIRST -STRICKLY READ

Wash Them First

This is Serious!
This incident happened recently in North Texas ..
A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of coke
which she put into the refrigerator of the boat.
On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit.
She died on Wednesday.

The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis.
This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass.
Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and
hence the disease Leptospirosis.

Rat urine contains toxic and deadly substances.
It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part
of all soda cans before drinking out of them.
The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned..

A study at NYCU showed that the tops of all soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets (i.e.). full of germs and bacteria. So wash them with water before putting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.

Please share this with everyone.

Handling adversity in life

A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule braying- or whatever mules do when they fall into the wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble saving. Instead, the called his neighbours together and told them what had happened. He enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the mule in the well and put of his misery.

Initially, the old mule was hysterical. ( Wouldn't you be with dirt being flung on you?) But as the farmer and his neighbours continued shoveling and the dirt on his back, a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time the shovel load of dirt landed on his back, he should shake it off and step up! This he did, blow after blow.

"Shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up... shake it off and step up! " he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows , or how distressing the situation , the old old mule fought panic and just kept right on shaking it off and stepping up!

It wasn't long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly over the wall of that well. What could have buried him blessed him- all because of the manner in which he handled the adversity.

Women & Their Power..

Many believe that womenand big politics are not compatible, but history shows that this is not true. We present you a brief overview of the most important female figures in Policy 20 and 21 centuries from the online version of the magazine TIME.

Indira Gandhi, India.

She was a true daughter of the country, brought up and his people and his father, who was the first Prime Minister of India after years of British rule. Cover of TIME magazine soon after its election in January of 1966 reads: "The poor of India in women's hands." These hand held India in the next decades through many tests: an economic downturn, famine, India's first test of an atomic bomb, civil war in neighboring Pakistan, and education (with Indira), a new state - Bangaladesh.

Margaret Thatcher, United Kingdom.

Also known Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher was a woman of high principles, short patience and a fan of whiskey. A housewife from the outskirts into one of the most influential women in the world, and ruled the country from 1979 to 1990, Thatcher became the first woman prime minister in Europe, and the first British permerom, elected for three consecutive terms. During his 11 years in power it has increased the share of private capital and led to the grave the Soviet Union. Thatcher is as for their personal qualities, and for the achievements in the state field, the most popular British politician after Winston Churchill.

Shirimavo Bandaranaike, Sri Lanka.

Fifty years ago Shirimavo Bandaranaike became the first woman in the foreseeable history - the head of government. Her victory is so overwhelmed by all that no one knew how to correctly call. "We need to invent a new word" - wrote the London Evening News the next day after Shirimavo elected Prime Minister of Ceylon (then called Sri Lanka). "What's her name? - Regent? "Bandaranaike led the party after the death of her husband, who was slain by a Buddhist monk in 1959 after winning her party in 1960, she took the reins in his hands and rules until 1965. After that she became prime minister twice - from 1970 to 1977 and from 1994 to 2000. Her daughter was the first-ever woman president in 1994, she appointed her mother prime minister for the last time (it should be noted that this appointment was rather a tribute of respect). Shirimavo resigned in April 2000 and died in the same year.

Corazon Aquino, Philippines

After the death of her charismatic husband, pious Catholic widow Corazon Aquino won the people's love and overthrew the dictatorial regime, who was involved in the murder of her husband. Millions of people took to the streets, and in February 1986 Aquino became president. After crushing the attempts of several military coups, Aquino saved democracy in the country - something for which killed her husband. In 1986, Corazon Aquino, was named "Man of the Year" by magazine TIME - the first woman after the Queen Elizabeth 2, has suffered such an honor.

Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan.

Descendant of an influential Pakistani dynasty, Benazir Bhutto went into politics after his father, and died. Young and beautiful, she clearly stood out from the male Pakistani political establishment. Benazir led the country as prime minister from 1988 to 1990 and from 1993 to 1996, and both times was dismissed from office by the President because of corruption charges which she vehemently denied. Benazir was assassinated in 2007, when the country was ruled by a military junta. The current President of Pakistan is her husband, who was also accused of fraud.

Angela Merkel, Germany's Angela.

Merkel - an exceptional phenomenon in German politics: the first female chancellor, also grew up in communist East Germany, as well as the youngest chancellor in history. Its underrated on the continuation of decades, but it is not broken. "I myself have never underestimated himself" - she said in an interview with TIME in January 2010 "There is nothing wrong with ambition, and ambition." She took office in late 2005, and 100 days after the poll showed that it is the most popular chancellor of all German history.

Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Liberia

In April 2006, First Lady Laura Bush America responded to Ellen as "a woman who did not stop working for the good of their country." "Her courage and dedication inspires me and women around the world," said Mrs. Bush magazine TIME. Johnson-Sirleaf, started her career with the membership of the Council of Ministers in 1970, then in the 90's became a senior administrator of the UN, and in 2006 was elected president of Liberia - the first woman president in Africa. She had to sum up years of civil war in the country. Allen vowed to fight corruption and build a brighter future of the country. George W. Bush presented her with a 2007 Presidential Medal of Freedom. Laura Bush said: "Johnson-Sirleaf - a good example of what can happen if the girls get a good education."

Golda Meir, Israel

Called acute languages "the only guy in the Cabinet" Golda Meir was a formidable and odious figure in Israeli politics. Tall, lean, sharp and decisive, it has become for the world's epitome of the Jewish stubbornness. "There are a variety of women - she said once - that did not allow husbands to overshadow much of the horizon". After a brilliant political career, including as Minister of Labour and Minister of Foreign Affairs and several other senior positions, she went to bed, but had returned to politics in the age of 70 years and led the country as prime minister from 1969 to 1974.

Brain Damaging Habits

No Breakfast:

People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

OverEating:

it causes hardening of brain arteries, leading to decrease in mental power.

Smoking:

It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to alzheimer disease.

High Sugar Consumption:

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

Air pollution:

The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

Sleep deprivation:

Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

Heard covered while sleeping:

Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

Working your brain during illness.

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

Lacking in stimulating thoughts:

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

Talking rarely

Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of brain.

Sleeping so late and make up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4.oo am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Determination and Patience

Determination is the strength that will enable you to pass the barrier of
useless thoughts in order to create positive thoughts and to be successful
in whatever you wish.

It comes from within and its partner is patience.
Patience teaches you not to push but rather to wait and appreciate
the game of life instead, knowing that nothing remains the same,
and everything will change at some point.

A Hug

A hug is a wonderful gift to share,
A way to show each other we care,
There is so much a hug is able to do,
When you feel those arms holding you.

A hug is a place to feel safe and warm,
A comfort for a sad heart that is hurt and torn;
An expression of love in our heart
For ones who we wish, never to be apart.

A hug is a greeting when we meet to say hello,
or say goodbye when we have to go;
It can hold us up when life gets us down,
And make us smile instead of frown.

A hug can be given for no reason at all,
And given to those both big and small,
We are never to old to feel the joy it brings,
As it is life's most pleasing things.

A hug costs nothing, yet means so much to me;
We should hug another and show we care,
For to feel a warm hug nothing can compare.

The Friendship bond

The bond of friendship that I have with you
is one richly blessed,
As, it is one that has survived,
as it passed every friendship test.
You and I've remained friends
in the good times, as well as bad,
Your pledge of loyalty, as a friend

GLASS OF MILK

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his
way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was
hungry.

He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost
his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.

Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! . She thought he
looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so
slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?"

You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never
to accept pay for a kindness."

He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically,
but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to
give up and quit.

Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The
local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city,
where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the
name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.

He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to
save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won.

Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him
for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and
the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure
it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she
looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.
She read these words ...

"Paid in full with one glass of milk"

(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."

There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the
water comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or
someone you love at the least expected time. If you never see the
deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And,
after all, isn't that what life is all about?

Now you have two choices.

1. You can send this page on and spread a positive message.

2. Or ignore it and pretend it never touched your heart.

The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which
-- To burn .

THESE SETS OF THREE LITTLE WORDS CAN MAKE A LOT OF DIFFERENCE IN ONE'S LIFE

There are many things that we can do to perk up and strengthen our interpersonal relationships. Yet the most effective involves the saying of just three words. When spoken or conveyed, these statements have the power to forge new friendships, deepen old ones and restore relationships that have cooled. The following three-word phrases can
enrich every relationship.

I'll Be There: If you have ever had to call a friend in the middle of the night, to take a sick child to hospital, or when your car has broken down some miles from home, you will know how good it feels to hear the phrase "I'll be there." Being there for another person is the greatest gift we can give when we are truly present for other people, important things
happen to them and us. We are renewed in love and friendship. We are restored emotionally and spiritually. Being there is at the very core of civility.

I Miss You: Perhaps more marriages could be saved and strengthened if couples simply and sincerely said to each other "I miss you." This powerful affirmation tells partners they are wanted, needed, desired and loved. Consider how ecstatic you would feel, if you received an unexpected phone call from your spouse in the middle of your workday, just
to say "I miss you".

I Respect You: Respect is another way of showing love. Respect conveys the feeling that another person is a true equal. If you talk to your children as if they were adults you will strengthen the bonds and become close friends. This applies to all inter-personal relationships.

Maybe You're Right: This phrase is highly effective in diffusing an argument and restoring frayed emotions. The flip side to "Maybe you're right" is the humility of admitting, "Maybe I'm wrong". Let's face it, when you have a heated argument with someone, all you do is cement the other person's point of view. They, or you, will not change their/your stance and you run the risk of seriously damaging the relationship between you. Saying "Maybe you're right" can open the door to further explore the subject, in which you may then have the opportunity to get your view across in a more rational manner.

Please Forgive Me: Many broken relationships could be restored and healed if people would admit their mistakes and ask for forgiveness. All of us are vulnerable to faults, foibles and failures. A man should never be ashamed to own up that he has been in the wrong, which is saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.

I Thank You: Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the companionship of good, close friends are those who don't take daily courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their many expressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle of friends is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of
gratitude.

Count On Me: A friend is one who walks in, when others walk out. Loyalty is an essential ingredient for true friendship; it is the emotional glue that bonds people. Those who are rich in their relationships tend to be steady and true friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there indicating you can "count on me."

Let Me Help: The best of friends see a need and try to fill it. When they spot a hurt they do what they can to heal it. Without being asked, they pitch in and help.

I Understand You: People become closer and enjoy each other more if they feel the other person accepts and understands them. Letting your spouse know in so many little ways that you understand her/him, is one of the most powerful tools for healing your relationship. This applies to any relationship.

I Love You: Perhaps the most important three words that you can say. Telling someone that you truly love them satisfies a person's deepest emotional needs; the need to belong, to feel appreciated and to be wanted. Your family, your friends and you, all need to hear those three little words. "I love you."

The least we can do as individuals is to motivate and inspire another human being!

A candle loses nothing by lighting another!

Portrait of a Friend

I can't give solutions to all of
life's problems, doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you and
together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with it's untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can't keep your
feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand
that you may grasp it
and not fall.

Your joys, triumps, success,
and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you from
falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you,
talk to you, and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.
I can't give solutions to all of
life's problems, doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you and
together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with it's untold stories.

I can't keep your

Phenomenal Wonders Of The Natural World

Sailing Stones

alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5492298987258124610" />

The mysterious moving stones of the packed-mud desert of Death Valley have been a center of scientific controversy for decades.

Rocks weighing up to hundreds of pounds
have been known to move up to hundreds of yards at a time.

Some scientists have proposed
that a combination of strong winds and surface ice account for these movements.

However, this theory does not explain evidence of
different rocks starting side by side
and moving at different rates and in disparate directions.

Moreover, the physics calculations do not fully support this theory
as wind speeds of hundreds of miles per hour
would be needed to move some of the stones.

Columnar Basalt

When a thick lava flow cools, it contracts vertically
but cracks perpendicular to its directional flow with remarkable geometric regularity
- in most cases forming a regular grid of remarkable hexagonal extrusions
that almost appear to be made by man.

One of the most famous such examples is
the Giant's Causeway on the coast of Ireland (shown above),
though the largest and most widely recognized
would be Devil's Tower in Wyoming.

Basalt also forms different but equally fascinating ways
when eruptions are exposed to air or water.

Blue Holes

Blue holes are giant and sudden drops in underwater elevation
that get their name from the dark and foreboding blue tone they exhibit
when viewed from above in relationship to surrounding waters.

They can be hundreds of feet deep
and while divers are able to explore some of them
they are largely devoid of oxygen that would support sea life
due to poor water circulation - leaving them eerily empty.

Some blue holes, however, contain
ancient fossil remains that have been discovered, preserved in their depths.

Red Tides

Red tides are also known as algal blooms
- sudden influxes of massive amounts of colored single-cell algae
that can convert entire areas of an ocean or beach into a blood red color.

While some of these can be relatively harmless,
others can be harbingers of deadly toxins
that cause the deaths of fish, birds and marine mammals.

In some cases, even humans have been harmed by red tides
though no human exposure are known to have been fatal.

While they can be fatal,
the constituent phytoplankton in ride tides are not harmful in small numbers.

Ice Circles

While many see these apparently perfect ice circles
as worthy of conspiracy theorizing,
scientists generally accept that they are formed
by eddies in the water that spin a sizable piece of ice in a circular motion.

As a result of this rotation,
other pieces of ice and flotsam wear relatively evenly at the edges of the ice
until it slowly forms into an essentially ideal circle.

Ice circles have been seen with diameters of over 500 feet
and can also at times be found
in clusters and groups of different sizes as shown above.

Mammatus Clouds

True to their ominous appearance,
mammatus clouds are often harbingers
of a coming storm or other extreme weather system.

Typically composed primarily of ice,
they can extend for hundreds of miles in each direction
and individual formations can remain visibly static
for ten to fifteen minutes at a time.

While they may appear foreboding
they are merely the messengers
- appearing around, before or even after severe weather.

Fire Rainbows

A circumhorizontal fire rainbow arc occurs at
a rare confluence of right time and right place for the sun and certain clouds.

Crystals within the clouds refract light
into the various visible waves of the spectrum
but only if they are arrayed correctly relative to the ground below.

Due to the rarity
with which all of these events happen in conjunction with one another,
there are relatively few remarkable photos of this phenomena.

Sinkholes

Sinkholes are one of the world's scariest natural phenomena.

Over time, water erodes the soil under the planet's surface
until in some cases, quite suddenly,
the land above gives way and collapses into the earth.

Many sinkholes occur naturally
while others are the result of human intervention.

Displacing groundwater can open cavities
while broken pipes can erode otherwise stable subterranean sediments.

Urban sinkholes, up to hundreds of feet deep
have formed and consumed parts of city blocks, sidewalks and even entire buildings.

Penitentes

Named after peak-hooded New Mexican monks (lower right above),
penitentes are dazzling naturally-forming ice blades
that stick up at sharp angles toward the sun.

Rarely found except at high altitudes,
they can grow up taller than a human and form in vast fields.

As ice melts in particular patterns,
'valleys' formed by initial melts leave 'mountains' in their wake.

Strangely, these formations ultimately slow the melting process
as the peaks cast shadows on the deeper surfaces below
and allow for winds to blow over the peaks, cooling them.

Lenticular Clouds

Ever wonder the truth about UFOs?

Avoided by traditional pilots but loved by sailplane aviators,
lenticular clouds are masses of cloud
with strong internal uplift that can drive a motorless flyer to high elevations.

Their shape is quite often mistaken
for a mysterious flying object or the artificial cover for one.

Generally, lenticular clouds are formed
as wind speeds up while moving around a large land object such as a mountain.

Light Pillars

Light pillars appear as eerily upright luminous columns in the sky,
beacons cast into the air above without an apparent source..

These are visible when light reflects just right off of ice crystals
from either the sun (as in the two top images above)
or from artificial ground sources such as street or park lights.

Despite their appearance as near-solid columns of light,
the effect is entirely created by our own relative viewpoint.

Sundogs

Like light pillars, sundogs are the product of light passing through crystals.

The particular shape and orientation of the crystals
can have a drastic visual impact for the viewer,
producing a longer tail and changing the range of colors one sees.

The relative height of the sun in the sky
shifts the distance the sundogs appear to be on either side of the sun.

Varying climactic conditions on other planets in our solar system
produce halos with up to four sundogs from those planets' perspectives.

Sundogs have been speculated about and discussed since ancient times
and written records describing the various attributes of our sun
date back the Egyptians and Greeks.

Fire Whirls

Fire whirls (also known as fire devils or tornadoes)
appear in or around raging fires
when the right combination of climactic conditions is present.

Fire whirls can be spawned by other natural events
such as earthquakes and thunderstorms,
and can be incredibly dangerous,
in some cases spinning well out of the zone of a fire itself
to cause devastation and death in a radius not even reached by heat or flame.

Fire whirls have been known to be nearly a mile high,
have wind speeds of over 100 miles per hour
and to last for 20 or more minutes.

Orange Moons

This last phenomena is something most people have seen before
- beautiful orange moon hanging low in the sky.

But what causes this phenomena
- and, for that matter, does the moon have a color at all?

When the moon appears lower on the horizon,
rays of light bouncing off it
have to pass through a great deal more of our atmosphere
which slowly strips away everything but yellows, oranges and reds.

The bottommost image above is true to the hues of the moon
but has enhanced colors to more clearly show the differences in shade
that illustrate the mixed topography and minerology
that tell the story of the moon's surface.

Looking at the colors in combination with the craters
one can start to trace the history of impacts
and consequent material movements across the face of our mysterious moon.
